I love lemon. In fact I “love, love, love” lemon (thank you, Daniel Tiger…). Lemon desserts are the perfect spring or summer sweet treat. Sweet and tangy, these desserts have the perfect balance of flavor. I don’t know about you, but I’m not really a fan of super sweet things (I like to feel like my teeth will remain intact after dessert), so a citrus dessert fits the bill just about any time.
I’ve found some luscious lemon desserts to share with you today. Grab a fork (and something to wipe the drool off your screen) and let’s dig in!
Joanna Gaines’ Lemon Pie

Y’all. This lemon pie. It’s absolutely to die for. Seriously. I recently made a whole pie for myself, I’m not even kidding. The rest of the people that live in my house don’t even really like lemon, but I was craving this pie and I just went ahead and made it. We’ll call it self-care, 100%. Read about how I first fell in love with this lemon dessert here.
Moist Lemon Cake

This Starbucks copycat lemon dessert looks absolutely fabulous! I can just about taste that icing on top, tart and sweet. Hang on, I need to wipe off the keyboard…
If you need a gluten-free version of this cake, you can try Nicole Hunn’s recipe over on Gluten Free on a Shoestring. It’s easy and delicious, and a great reminder of when we could go have coffee with friends at Starbucks!
Lemonade Pie
This no-bake lemon dessert is going to take center stage at my 4th of July family celebration (so really it’ll be for me, ha!). I love a no-bake dessert, especially in the summer when it’s already hot.

Lemon Meringue Cupcakes

A cupcake with a lemon meringue pie twist? Yes please! I literally just ate lunch and I’m already having cravings by just looking at this picture!
Need a gluten-free version? Check out the lemon cupcake at Gluten Free Palate. They are easy, and so delicious! Just substitute that recipe for the cupcake and finish with Rachel’s curd and meringue.
Lemon Meringue Cookie Tarts

Not only are these cookies just adorable to look at, they sound just absolutely delicious! I’m imagining biting into this cookie and the crunch of the shortbread paired with the light crispness of the meringue and smooth curd. You’d better believe I’ll be working on a gluten free version soon!
Lemon Bars

Who doesn’t love a good bar for dessert, or a snack, or breakfast? I just had to include these lemon bars in my lemon desserts post. They’re an easy treat for any occasion, even just wanting a snack! I love a good lemon bar with a healthy dose of powdered sugar on top!

Lemon Meringue Cheesecake
This recipe offers a great mashup of lemon meringue pie and cheesecake! If those are flavors you love, you need to check out this lemon dessert!
Lemon Blueberry Layer Cake

Finally, a lemon dessert that combines lemon with one of its best friends, blueberry! This recipe celebrates the tartness of both the lemon and the blueberry and contrasts it with a sweet, creamy cream cheese frosting. It’s three layers of tart, sweet, flavorful summertime goodness!
Now that we’ve all taken the time to allow ourselves to be completely tempted by these delicious lemon desserts, I invite you to head to your kitchen and try one! Let me know what you try and leave a comment to tell me how you like it!
